Minnesota really knows how to create winter wonderlands. During the month of December, the whole state seems to try to outdo each other with their Holiday Light Displays. Check out some of the ones listed below.
Winter Wonderlands and Holiday Lights
Bentleyville Tour of the Lights, Duluth
November 19 – December 26
The Bentleyville Tour of lights enjoys 20 acres of free lighted displays. When I was in Duluth last, I saw the storage units of lights and this is amazing. Thye have over 4 million lights.

Minneapolis has a long history with the Holidazzle. The celebration It includes movies in the park, Santa, fireworks and all kinds of other fun activities.

Holiday Lights in the Park, St. Paul
Nov 22-Jan 1, 5-10 pm nightly
This is a great event held by the St. Paul Police Foundation. They set up a route along Phalen Park filled with all kinds of displays. They charge $10 per carload, or $8 online to drive through. Great if you want to throw the kids in the car with some blankets and hot chocolate.

The town of Taylors Falls comes alive during Thanksgiving weekend. Filled with all kinds of wonderful activities including parades, music, theater and even some Irish Dancing.
Tree Lights Celebrations
Getting the holiday season off to a great start. These towns put on a great show for lighting up their trees. Check out some of the best festivals.
Tree Lighting Celebration, Anoka
Deck the Halls, Buffalo
Celebrate the season with carolers, horse-drawn wagon rides a visit from Santa and some hot chocolate. They light up the Christmas tree at 5. If you haven’t been to Buffalo before, it’s a great town with lots of fun things to do. Check out my post….

Minnesota’s version of Rockefeller Center, this celebration is one of the best in down. Hosted by myTalk 107.1 and includes performances by Six Appeal. They have Movie nights and in the additional fun throughout the weekend with their European Christmas Market.
