Lake Carlos State Park is a beautiful Minnesota state park located on the shores of Lake Carlos.

The park offers over 6 miles of hiking trails that wind through the surrounding forest. The trails run through the lush forest and wetlands.

Biking paths also run through the park and provide access to some of the more remote areas in the park. Both hikers and bikers will appreciate the beauty and serenity they find while exploring Lake Carlos State Park.

Camping areas are located throughout Lake Carlos State Park with both RV sites (with water & electricity) as well as primitive sites for tent camping.

What is my favorite thing to do in Alexandria MN?

I loved getting to explore Lake Carlos State Park. The lake views are out of this world. I also loved getting to participate in the Carlos Creek Crape Stomp. There is plenty more to do. Don’t make my mistake and plan a longer tip if you can. Or maybe do it all in bite-size mini weekend trips!
