Chanhassen Farmers Market Moves to Bigger Location
The Chanhassen Farmers Market has an exciting new home this year in the grassy area behind the city center. The new location provides ample room for expansion, with space for more vendors to set up their stalls.
Additionally, the parking situation has been vastly improved, with double the number of parking spots available compared to previous years.
If you haven’t been, this farmers market is an amazing location, with small town favorites. I absolutely love this market. Partly because I used to sell with my mom when the market first got started. It’s been so much fun to see it grow to what it is today.
Early Season Highlights
During early summer, visitors can enjoy fresh canned goods, handmade crafts, locally-sourced meat, and beautiful flower bouquets at the market.
Among the unique offerings are microgreens and farm-fresh organic eggs from area producers.
Fresh Produce to Arrive as Season Progresses
Canned goods and crafts are great in the early season, but the real highlight comes in the warm months.
As local farms hit their stride, the market will be filled just-picked fruits and vegetables for shoppers to enjoy. Think Brussel sprouts and rhubarb in the coming weeks, peppers, tomatoes as well as corn and apples at the end of the season.
Delicious Food and Musical Entertainment
Not only can attendees stock up on amazing local products, but they can also indulge in the wonderful array of food vendors.
Adding to the lively atmosphere is live music performed on-site throughout the market days. It is always my favorite part of the market!
The market runs every Saturday from 9am to 1pm, rain or shine, from June 1st through September 28th.
New for 2024: 50+ Vendors and More
This year’s market is the biggest yet, with over 50 different vendors scheduled to appear throughout the season. In addition to favorites like local produce, baked goods, and handmade crafts, the 2024 lineup features:
- Free yoga sessions at 8:15am by onelove.yoga
- Coffee from Dandy Lion Coffee and Up North Coffee
- Mexican street food from Mamama & Checo’s
- And many more unique businesses like woodworkers, jewelers, candle makers, and more!
The Chanhassen Farmers Market continues its growth as a community staple. Don’t miss out on this weekly celebration of all the best the region has to offer!
