17 Sunflower Fields in Minnesota You Have to SEE in 2024!
Nothing brings a smile to my face more than the sight of a bright sunflower. One thing I wasn’t expecting driving around Minnesota this summer was to see all the best Sunflower Fields in Minnesota.
They have become a new summer tradition for many and for some, it’s a perfect way to wrap up the summer.
Positioned between berry picking season and fall favorites like apple picking and corn mazes. You’re probably wondering, where to find sunflower fields in Minnesota?
The good news is, that they are hiding in plain sight. You’ve probably been by a few already and didn’t even know it.
A few sunflower fields in Minnesota were affected and lost their crops and annual sunflower festivals were canceled.
I’ve been able to verify that all these locations are up and running in 2023. Hopefully, I’ll we’ll be able to add a few more next year.
Where to find Sunflower Fields in Minnesota in 2023
Andover Sunflower Field
Location: 14861 Prairie Rd NW Andover, MN 55304
The Andover Sunflower Field is just in the northwest suburbs. There are 3 acres to explore, surrounded by prairie and tall pines trees.
What I love about the field is that they have over 30 different props placed around the field, making it perfect for photos. There are also some pet friendly props!
The field is free, along with parking. Donations are accepted. The field opens on Friday, September 8. Field hours are 5:30am-8:30pm, 7 days a week.
Crazy Legs Farm and Pumpkins
Location: 19151 Biscayne Ave, Farmington, MN 55024
Crazy Legs Farm and Pumpkins has a beautiful Sunflower Field to explore. Hidden inside you’ll find a whimsical swing set.
This is a perfect location for a fun photoshoot. In addition, you’ll also see that they have an epic corn maze, vineyard, and pumpkins!
Fish Sunflower Field | Multiple Taking a break in 2023
Location: Buffalo, Monticello, Zimmerman, Big Lake, Kimball, Montrose, Gibbon, Andover, Braham, and Albert Lea
Fish Sunflowers Fields have been growing in Minnesota for the last seven years. All of their farms are free to enter and roam around. Their goal is to ‘Spread the Sunshine’.
Fish Sunflowers have 11 different fields located all near the Twin Cities. Keep an eye on their website to see when each field is blooming.
Come get your photos taken in their beautiful flower field. Each of their fields has a different theme, including one for hometown heroes.
Green Barn Garden Center | Isanti
Location: 26501 Highway 65 NE, Isanti, MN 55040
Sunflower Farm at Green Barn Garden Center have been growing sunflowers for 25 years. They plant the black oil sunflower seed. Their sunflower field flowers start blooming from the end of July through August. Each weekend, a new food truck stops by.
This garden center does a great job of helping you get the cute family pictures you are looking for with props throughout the field like tractors, a fire truck, a piano, a wagon to stand on, and more.

Minnesota Harvest Craft Cider Bar & Orchard | Jordan
Location: MN Harvest Apple Orchard & Event Center, 8251 Old Hwy 169 Blvd, Jordan, MN 55352
There is always something blooming at the Minnesota Harvest Craft Cider Bar and Orchard in Jordan MN. The Sunflower season starts in August with multiple patches all blooming at different times.
Check their website for hours. In addition to Sunflowers, you can also get a craft cider, apples, a corn maze, and more!
Sunflowers may have brought you to Jordan but there is a bunch of other stuff to do while you are there. Some of my favorites are MN’s Largest Candy Store and ZAPs Arcade.
Treasured Haven Farm | Rush City
Location: Treasured Haven Farm, 53407 Government Rd, Rush City, MN 55069
In Rush City on the Scenic St Croix Riverway, Treasured Haven Farm is a working farm, growing organic black oil sunflower seed for pet treats, bird seed, and animals.
They have spaced out their sunflowers to ensure that their beautiful sunflowers are in bloom from mid-July through mid-September. This is a sunflower experience not to be missed.
One thing I like about visiting this property is that photo opportunities are not limited to the sunflowers, there are also natural prairie areas, woodlands, and overlooking the other farm fields and animals.
There is a nominal fee to enter per carload.
Twin Cities Maze | Brooklyn Park
Location: 8001 109th Avenue North Brooklyn Park, MN 55445
The Twin Cities Maze is a new location for sunflowers. In Brooklyn Park Minnesota, on Highway 169, is their Pumpkin Patch and Sunflower Field.
Opens daily starting in September through November. you’ll be able to walk through their field. When you’re done, buy a ticket to their corn maze.

Sever’s Festivals | Shakopee
Location: 3121 W 150th St, Shakopee, MN 55379
This was a completely hidden treasure. While enjoying Severs Fall Festival in September we spotted a whole field of Sunflowers still in bloom. In a variety of different colors. To see them, you’ll need a ticket to the fall festival.

Waldoch Farm | Lino Lakes
Location: Waldoch Farm Garden Center, 8174 Lake Drive, Lino Lakes, MN, 55014
Waldoch Farm has planted six acres of gorgeous sunflowers, with 150,000 seeds. You’ll be able to stroll through this amazing landscape.
What makes Waldoch Farm different from the others is the Joyer Adventure Farm with activities for the kids like Farm Animals, Low Ropes Course, Zoom Mountain, wagon ride, and more.
They also have U-Pick flowers, allowing you to take home sunflowers from your adventure. Tickets are on sale now with the field ready for bloom in late July – August.

- I always recommend calling, or checking online before visiting, especially with the short bloom window.
