Nickelodeon Fans Can Finally Live Out Their Slime Dreams This Spring Break

If you grew up watching Double Dare, Figure It Out, and The Amanda Show, getting slimed by Nickelodeon was the best thing ever.

There was just something so appealing about that bright green gooey mess being dumped all over someone. Maybe it was the shock value, or maybe it just looked fun in a weird way. Either way, it became an iconic part of 90s kid culture that we all envied.

Well, after decades of watching others live out that slime-filled fantasy, Nickelodeon is finally giving the people what they want.

Just in time for spring break, the indoor theme park is offering a new “Get Slimed” experience allowing visitors to voluntarily get completely covered head-to-toe in the network’s trademark gooey green substance.

The sliming takes place in the new “Slimulator,” with the option for friends to get slimed together.

“We’ve had celebrities and game show winners get slimed before, but this is the first time regular guests can opt in to be slimed themselves,” said Chris Grap, Vice President of Experiential for Nickelodeon Universe. “It’s a unique, one-of-a-kind experience you really can’t describe until you’ve done it.”

The “Get Slimed” tickets aren’t cheap at $45 per person or $55 for two people to split the sliming chamber. But the price includes an “I Got Slimed” commemorative t-shirt to proudly show off your gooey status.

Protective gear is provided to cover clothes, but just in case, Nickelodeon recommends bringing an extra change of clothes since the slime easily washes out.

The sliming experience is open to anyone 8 years and older looking to live out their wildest Nickelodeon dreams.

For those wanting to avoid getting slimed, Nickelodeon Universe has plenty of other new spring break offerings too. The new “Pups Off Patrol” stage show gives a glimpse into the off-duty lives of the Paw Patrol pups.

Whether you chose to embrace the slime or not, Nickelodeon Universe aims to provide a spring break getaway for kids and kids-at-heart alike. As Grap says, “It’s a limited time slime offering, but a lot of fun.”

Reservations for “Get Slimed” can be made online or at the park’s West Guest Services desk. The slime experience runs through April 14 on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays only.

As a kid who was absolutely obsessed with Nickelodeon in the 90s, I can’t help but be crazy excited about this. Finally having the chance to get slimed like the contestants on shows I watched religiously.
