Aamodt’s Apple Orchard: The Ultimate Fall Fun

Apple Picking Adventures

No autumn trip is complete without apple picking. At Aamodt’s Apple Farm, they offer pick-your-own apples during the harvest season (varieties and dates change each year; check the orchard’s picking report before you go).

Start by choosing your bag size at the barn, then head into the orchard. The whole family can help pluck apples right from the trees.

You can get apples three ways: pre-picked from the Apple Barn, pick-your-own in the orchard, or order online for home delivery when available.

Stored in a cool place or crisper drawer, many apple varieties stay fresh for weeks; some keep well into December.

Typical fall hours run daily during the season, roughly late August through October. For 2025 dates, hours, and picking status, check the farm’s website or social feeds before you drive out.

What to do with all those apples?

A visit to Aamodt’s Apple Farm near Stillwater is simple autumn joy. From apple picking to bakery treats, hard cider, and wine tasting, it’s a day you’ll remember.

But what do you do with all your apples?

We brought home bags of apples and made syrup, pull-apart bread, dried apples, and more.

With a little help from my daughter, we baked six pull-apart loaves. Next up: Apple Cinnamon Scones, Apple Pie Bars, maybe Apple Cookies.

Does an apple a day still count if it’s covered in caramel or baked into dessert? Asking for a friend.

Apple pull-apart loaf drizzled with icing

Apple Cinnamon Pull‑Apart Loaf Bread

3 medium apples, peeled and diced

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 teaspoons cinnamon

Drizzle of molasses

2 cans Pillsbury ready‑made biscuits

Icing

1 cup powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1–3 teaspoons water

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Drizzle on molasses so the mixture is lightly coated; it’s strong, so go easy.

Lay out the dough. Using a pizza cutter, cut each biscuit into cubes. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Divide the dough and apple mixture into 2–3 loaf pans (foil pans work well). Bake about 50 minutes.

When slightly cooled, whisk icing ingredients. Add water a teaspoon at a time until it drips easily from a fork. Drizzle as much as you like.

Best served warm. Try with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for dessert.
