Afton Apple Orchard

Afton Apple Orchard is an amazing place in Hastings, MN, to pick your own pumpkins. That’s because they offer so much more than just apples, Trust Me!

When late August comes, you can visit their pumpkin patch and pick sunflowers and zinnias too.

The real adventure, however, unfolds in late September when they unveil their expansive 15-acre corn maze. As I’ve discovered, it’s not just a maze; it’s a puzzle with twists and turns.

They have lots of different types, like Puala Red, Zestar, First Kiss, and more! Their apple trees are made special so even kids can reach the apples easily.

During the week, they have some great deals and discounts for you to enjoy. They even give hayrides to the apple-picking area!

And guess what? They have a petting zoo and a playground too! You can climb Straw Mountain, slide down Retread Hill, and swing on the Giant Swing!

And that’s not all! They have delicious apple donuts, fritters, pies, and caramel apples. You can also grab hot dogs and apple cider to eat right there.

So, if you’re looking for an awesome place to have fun and enjoy yummy apples and other treats, Afton Apple Orchard is the place to be!

Anoka County Farms

Choose from a selection of pre-picked pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, including carving pumpkins at Anoka Country Farms. 

They also have farm animals, take a hayride, jump into Snoopy’s Corn Pit, ride pedal trackers, ride down the Giant Slide. Try your hand a pumpkin bowling. 

When you need to fuel up, fill up on State Fair Inspired conessions.

Barten Pumpkins

5716 W 280th St, New Prague, MN 56071

As someone who cherishes a classic pumpkin picking adventure, Barten Pumpkins in New Prague MN holds a special place in my fall traditions.

With thousands of pumpkins in an array of sizes, priced between $2 and $10, it’s a haven for those seeking that perfect, iconic pumpkin.

Beyond the pumpkins, their nature play area makes each visit a memorable one.

Opening its gates from September 20th to October 31st, the patch is a haven for both nostalgia and new memories.

Buffalo River Pumpkin Patch

Buffalo River Pumpkin Patch is prefect for small kids, looking for a low-key pumpkin picking experience. 

After selecting the prefect pumpkin for carving, spend some time at the petting zoo, game area, horse drawn ride, duck races, and more.

Sept. 23 – Oct. 29th from 12 – 6 pm. Cost is $6 pers person. Horse Drawn Ride is $3 a person and Barrel Cars are $2.

Warty Pumpkins

Country Sun Farm and Greenhouses

Pick your own pumpkins at the retail store. They have thousands of pre-picked pumpkins, gourds, squash, straw, mums, and various fall or Halloween decorations. 

In addition to the pumpkins, you can spend time on the old fashioned hayride through the pumpkin patch. Get lost in the 3-acre corn maze. Enjoy the corn Piz, play with Silly String, and make some new friends at the Petting Zoo.

Season starts up September 9th, and open 7 days a week from 9 am – 6pm on the weekends, and 7pm during the week.

Dehn’s Pumpkin Farm

17270 125th Ave. North, Dayton, MN

Pick your own pumpkins in their 20-acre field. If you don’t want to walk, no worries, they have wagons you can pick them off too. 

After getting your pumpkin, enjoy their corn maze, corn pit, gunny sack slide.

Their succinic hayride is a 15 minute trip through the property.

For the kids they have inflatable jumpers, giant inflatable slides, a hay bale mountain, air cannon and gourd slinger.

They also have a flashlight corn maze running in October. 

The marketplace is filled with pumpkins, strawbales, white pumpkins, Food booths, pedal tractors.

The patch opens up starting September 23rd. The Marek place has free admission and a wrist band for Pumpkin themed activities. 

Emma Krumbee’s Orchard

311 Enterprise Drive, Bell Plaine, MN 56011

Emma Krumbee’s may have famous Apples, but they also have some great pumpkins. The U-Pick pumpkin patch is open September through October from 10 am – 6 pm. 

Take the tractor pulled wagon through the orchard to the Great Pumpkin Patch. 

You can also start picking apples in mid-August. 

After picking pumpkins and apples, make sure to check out their family fun.

They have a Giant Hay Pile, Giant Tube Slide, Duck Race, Monster Truck, Ship Playground, Jumping Pillow, Barrel Run, Corn Pit, Tire Mountain, and a Barrel Train.

Don’t forget to visit their country store, where you can find pre-picked apples, jams, muffins, cookies, and lots of freshly baked pies.

The best part is, for children, it’s only $7.50 to enjoy all the activities. Adults can join in for free!

And here’s a bonus tip: before the season ends, make sure to visit the Largest Candy Store in MN in Jordan. It’s a sweet way to stock up before they close in November.

Farmer John’s Pumpkin Patch

Farmers Johns Pumpkin Patch is a family farm in Austin MN. They have an 8 acres of farm with over 38 varieties of pumpkins.

You can also get all your decorating favorites, like corn stalks, mini pumpkins, gourds and straw bales. 

When you are there, make sure to check out the chickens and kitties onsite. They also have a silo slide and silo bounce.

Lendt’s Pumpkin Patch

6903 Wyoming Trail, Wyoming, MN 55092

Lendt’s Pumpkin patch has a 40-acre pick-your-own pumpkin field to explore. Pumpkins are all $5 each. 

They also have Indian Corn, gourds, a variety of pumpkins to choose from, popcorn on the cob, honey, Giant Pumpkins, Pie Pumpkins and more. 

The kids will love the 18×24 corn pit. 

Starting in October, they have hayrides through their pumpkin patch. Hayrides are reservable and will fill up. 

Nelson Farm

Come out to Nelson Farm Pumpkin Patch, where you’ll find pumpkins, gourds, and corn for sale!

There are so many exciting activities for you and your family to enjoy. Take a pony ride or navigate through the thrilling straw maze.

Test your skills in our mini golf contests, including corn cob golf and frisbee golf.

Don’t miss the trebuchet demonstration at 3:30pm – a pumpkin chucker flinger thinger!

Experience the thrill of the dizzy hill tube ride or climb tire mountain. Explore the Sod House, School House, and even play large tic tac toe and checkers.

If you’re feeling adventurous, try the zip line or balance on the beams.

Take a break and visit our antique machinery exhibit or enjoy a lawn mower barrel ride. Don’t forget to say hello to our friendly farm animals and have fun in the bouncy houses. Join in the barrel races and try your luck at farm frisbee golf.

At Pinehaven Farm, the fun is in full swing, especially when it comes to picking pumpkins! They have more than just a pumpkin patch; they’ve created a whole extravaganza for fall!

When you visit, you get to enjoy lots of exciting activities included with your admission.

There’s the Corn Maze, a Farm Dino Exhibit, Ziplines, and speedy Super Slides. You can also hop on the Cluck Truck (Mobile Chicken Truck), swing on the Swings, ride on Tractors, bounce on the Jumping Pillows, and meet cute farm animals.

Test your skills on a pumpkin cannon.

And guess what? In October, they even transform their corn maze into one of the most haunted ones in the Twin Cities! If you’re up for a spooky adventure, this is the place to be.

Sekapp Orchard

Sekkapp orchard has their very own Pumpkinland. IN addition to the pumpkins, they have tons of great activities. 

They setup a corn maze, with a winding labyrinth of six-foot stalks. You can also climb the Straw bale mountain as well as a few other entertainment options!

Waldoch Farm

8174 Lake DR, Lino Lakes, MN 55014

Waldoch Farm is a great place. They have both a Garden Center and an Adventure Farm (Technically Joyer Adeventure Farm Pumpkin Patch).

They have a large selection of carving pumpkins, pie pumpkins and squash all prepicked at the Garden Center. Want to pick you own? Head over the Adventure Farm. 

They have a great Corn Maze to explore during the day. At night in October, bring your flashlight for a haunting experience. 

Race on the Low Ropes Course to sliding down Zoom Mountain. Take a hayride out to the pumpkin patch. Play in the corn box, do a pony ride. Test your skills on the Apple Blasters.
