You’ll find all sorts of amazing animals here, from cheetahs to kangaroos, and even some elusive Brainerd Lakes Area critters.

Some of my favorites were the ostrich, cougar, leopard, and porcupine. They even have all the big three, Lions and Tigers and Bears.

The animals here are living the good life. The enclosures are spacious, the habitats are clean, and you can get up close and personal with them.

The park features more than 150 different species. In addition to the ones already mentioned, you’ll alsofind:, Grisly Bear, Java, Sloth Bears, Bobcats, Lynx, howler Monkeys, Alligator, Vervet Money, Ringtail Lemurs, Ruff Lemur Capuchins, Mandrills, Patas, Spider Monkeys, Olive Baboons, Wart Hogs, Wildebeest, and so much more. 

Their bird exhibit was huge. The family fun is unbelievable making it one of the best zoos in the Midwest for the variety of animals on site.

Hop aboard the Trian, officially it’s more of a tram since there are no tracks. The cost is $5.00 per person, and you can pay the conductor in cash. 

From cheeky monkeys to majestic lions, Antelope, curious zebras, Crains, and more. Most of the animals on the Train are free roaming, but the monkeys and lions are safely behind a fence.
